Städtisches Leben bedeutet vielfältiges Leben, und genau so vielfältig wie die Stadt, sind auch Ihre Bewohner. Jeder Mensch ist unterschiedlich, hat individuelle Bedürfnisse, Vorlieben, Sorgen. Während der/die eine um sechs Uhr Morgens das Haus verlässt, und in seinem Beruf im Callcenter abends mit 120 verschiedenen Personen gesprochen haben wird, hat ein anderer seine eigenen vier Wände noch nicht verlassen und sieht sich mit dem Thema Vereinsamung konfrontiert. Deshalb ist es unserer Meinung nach wichtig, Möglichkeiten zu schaffen, Orte der Begegnung die zum Plaudern einladen, denen man aber auch gerne aus dem Weg gehen darf.

Urban life means varied life, and just as varied as the city is, so are its inhabitants. Every person is different, has individual needs, preferences and worries. While one person will have left home at six o’clock in the morning and will have spoken to 120 different people in the evening in his job at the call center, another has not yet left his own four walls and is confronted with the topic of loneliness. That is why we think it is important to create opportunities, places of encounter that invite people to chat, but which can also be avoided.

Innerhalb der Wohnungen möchten wir Rahmenbedingungen schaffen, die eine Grundwohnqualität garantieren, egal ob man auf gleicher Fläche alleine oder zu sechst wohnt. Was für den einen „Luxus“ ist, wird für den anderen zu leistbarem Wohnraum. Dies ermöglicht das verschiedenste Bewohner-Konstellationen mit unterschiedlichsten Hintergründen gemeinsam unter einem Dach leben. So kann es zu einer sozialen Durchmischung kommen, die heute wichtiger ist denn je und unsere Empathie anregt (Utopie?).

Unser Wohnbau soll die bestehenden strickten Regeln und Normen provozieren, indem er Möglichkeiten schafft, (vielleicht seine Bewohner sogar anstiftet/verleitet) sich ihr Wohnen so zu gestalten, wie es sich für jeden einzelne Person richtig anfühlt oder wie es die jeweilige Situation erfordert.

Within the apartments, we would like to create conditions that guarantee a basic living quality, regardless of whether one lives alone or in groups of six in the same area. What is „luxury“ for one person becomes affordable living space for another. This enables the most diverse constellations of residents from the most diverse backgrounds to live together under one roof. This can lead to a social mix, which is more important today than ever and stimulates our empathy (utopia?).

Our housing should provoke the existing strict rules and norms by creating possibilities to (perhaps even instigate/induce its residents to) arrange their living in a way that feels right for each individual person or as the respective situation requires.
